MyChelle Dermaceuticals, LLC:
This all-organic, food-based, eco-friendly line really walks the walk. Vegetarian and Vegan friendly, with a range of food and plant based ingredients from the cupboard to the exotic, they are free of detrimental chemicals.
Guests can be confident they are buying a pure, natural, product from a company committed to using bioactive ingredients.
They are newer to spa market, do have a retailer program, no back-counter bulk products, but not as extensive a training program in retail we would like to see. Overall, great products with proven ingredients, ideal for a green-focused, stringently natural spa retail program.
Personal Experience: I used the MyChelle line for 6 months – everything smells divine and delicious. I did find the peels a little strong for twice weekly use. However, I absolutely loved the cleansers and moisturizers which never felt clogging and kept up with the demands of the uber-dry Colorado weather.
The Science: Check out our skin care basics for a primer! MyChelle products, importantly, are free of parabens, propylene glycol, ureas, EDTA, fragrances and artificial colors.
Individual product ingredients used in MyChelle have defined research and clinical utility, however, MyChelle does not provide information on clinical tests done with their products as a whole. Though you can make some extensions to what individual ingredients may achieve to a product- it cannot be claimed.
Why? Because a single ingredient in a mixture may never reach the concentration necessary to create the effect shown in single- ingredient studies. Or other ingredients may counteract or damage the chemical structure so that it no longer works. For a more in depth discussion, see our primer.
So I would like to see some clinical research with their product line as a whole.
Spa Utility: MyChelle Dermaceuticals has a retailer program, contact them to learn the details and discounts. Interesting Facts:MyChelle actively supports the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Campaign to Label Genetically Engineered Foods. They also support the Medicine Horse Program – a Colorado based non-profit which enhances the mental health and life skills of youth, adults, families, and groups through therapeutic interaction with horses.
